For the past few years, this website has been filled with color, creativity, and the joy of helping children thrive through the power of books. But today, I’m sharing something new: a closed-doors, no spice, second-chance romance novella written for the moms, caregivers, and grown-ups who’ve ever wondered if it’s too late to fall in love again — or to find themselves.
✨ The Broken Parts Along the Way is my debut romance novella. It’s a heartfelt, slow-burn second-chance love story centered on motherhood, healing, and rediscovering the person you’ve always been underneath it all.
At first glance, it may seem like a departure from the bilingual picture books and activity titles I’ve published. But at its core, it’s part of the same mission: to write stories that matter. Stories that comfort, connect, and heal - and please know it won't take me away from the children's publishing journey at all.
In The Broken Parts Along the Way, we meet Emma, a single mom returning home after a painful divorce. She’s not expecting to run into Bash — the boy who once held her heart. Years have passed, letters have gone unread, and wounds have barely healed. But sometimes, love comes back when we’re finally ready to receive it.
This is a clean, closed-door romance — gentle, reflective, and emotionally rich. There’s rain. There’s music through shared earbuds. There’s a deep bond between mother and child. And there’s the kind of quiet love that takes its time to grow again.
🖊️ This book is published under my pen name, Samantha Waverly — a name I chose to mark this new chapter in my storytelling journey. Different name, same heart. 💛
📖 The eBook is available now on Amazon:
📚 The paperback edition will launch by the end of the month (June 2025).
If you’re a fan of second-chance romance stories about motherhood, identity, and love that comes back when we least expect it, I hope this one finds you.
Thank you for growing with me. For reading. For believing in stories that matter, regardless of the age group they’re written for.
With love and stories always,
Kelle Lima
